A bit of this. And that.

Cast your mind back to my previous post when I traipsed through the Western suburbs with the 'Who's Who' of antipodean Mid-Century design.

During our meanderings, I somehow found myself with clutching a bag full of cactus from one of the house gardens. So this weekend I potted some in some old tea cups, and so on, that were otherwise cracked and useless.

And then some of the Solid Gold Dancers and I went to the gorgeous old QueenslandMuseum for the Finders Keepers markets. If you haven't been, and you're of a similar ilk (as I think you are), I suggest you go next time it's in Brisbane. Fantasteesh.

One of the best things we bought was a Terrarium Kit filled with dinosaur and teeny-tiny cars and teeny-tiny people.

It only took me a teeny-tiny two hours to tweezer them into place.

Look at this child. He drives me to the edge sometimes, but then his freckles and crazy long hair spell-binds me.

Who's heeded the Daiso call? Shhh. Quiet now. And you can hear it ...

When work gets me down, I know all I need is to blow a few $2.80s on some hand towels and lollies and plastic containers and all's well.

Bored? Or know someone who is?

This book has been put away for the Christmas Season for one of the Solid Golds.

It's like a modern day Kids' Own Adventure book.

And Maude? Love this book.

Bless her. She's in a family of extroverted pooncy attention seekers. Who isn't?!

Maude has some fabulous frocks but blends into the background.

But it all turns out okay.

Toodles.

  8. Your boy is gorgeous........dont be too hard on him these children are usually destined for an interesting adult life. I remember my Mum crying out of frustration over my the firecracker that was my younger brother and now he is one of the most successful and interesting people I know and my Mum is so proud of him. It was worth the pain he inflicted on us all in his early years I swear!!!
I must get me that Maude book it looks a great story.
