Bumble Ardy makes me buy books
Who remembers this from Sesame Street? I sure as hell do. Bumble Ardy smacks of Maurice Sendak. And that's because he illustrated this little animation.
I love when something opens a cobwebby door in my brain and the memory is perfectly preserved in there even though it was forgotten! I have always loved Maurice but never knew I watched it as young as this!
OMG ... yes! This animation used to give me the creeps a bit. I far preferred the alien looking puppets who used to make ringing sounds ... brrrriiiinnnnggg!
Deb, there's a whole lot of bacon and egg sandwiches in that room.
Annie, isn't it funny how it all comes flooding back. What else is in the ol' head?
LMA-G, there was some commotion about this video esp, about the wind-drinking, nine-year-old Bumble Ardy. And Aunt Adeline gets a bit spooky in sections.
