Today, we went to wish our favourite Easter Grannies, 'Happy Easter'.
We listened to Abba in the car on the way.
Super Trouper is our 'MMMC Family Theme Song' ... Lights are going to find me, shining like the sun (supapa, troupapa), smiling having fun, (supapa troupapa) feeling like a Number One ...
Easter egg cupcakes for the backup singers in the back ... No, I didn't make them. I bought them.
As if I'd make them.
Chocolate rabbits for the Mother and Driver who tells me I say 'BRAKE! NOW!' too often ...
Grandma and Grandad live up high.
This is Grandma's view while she draws ... that's the East Coast of Australia as it meets the Pacific Ocean.
She let some of us sit at her drawing desk.
Look at that fool in the hat.
(Not the little thing below in the red shirt.)
She's not a fool. Well, not yet, anyway.
We went to the park and chased our brothers ...
And tried keeping up with our sister ...
Until we all met up again.
They're four beautiful specimens, aren't they?
They're my Easter eggs. Super Troupers.

What a lovely complete set of children you have. Roboboy would be impressed that the girls are the biggest and littlest with the boys in between. Very organized and tidy really. That number 2 child with the hat- he's just a bit rock star and all isn't he? Love it! Number 4 is a delight with great dress sense, love those sandals- Liongirl has been known to eye gouge and hair pull over much inferior footwear.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bungalow girl. I think all the best children eye-gouge and hair-pull when it comes to footwear ... they're not worth mucking about with if they are nonchalent about shoes.
ReplyDeleteYour little super troupers look marvelous. I love the "fool"s hat! He's cool beyond his years.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad a new generation is learning to appreciate ABBA. Very important stuff.
Happy Easter! Hallelujah!
They are so adorable....Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteLove Grandma's view ,wow!
you definitely have good eggs! i'd like to play with your kids. I think we'd get along real well!
ReplyDeletetoo bad the 70's egg is no longer at the park - though i see the astro turf has miraculously survived. ouch!
Happy Easter Carmel !!!!!
You have the most lovely family and I admire them all, but adore the youngest! It's so wonderful to have children and what joy they bring you, even when grown up. This morning we received an email image of our youngest grandchild aged three months, "chilling on the beach" in Australia. Mr EM rushed round the quick photo shop and got a print done for Great Grandma as a surprise when we took her for an Easter lunch today. You are blessed and so are we.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to see that you are teaching your children all the right things. Singing to ABBA is a skill that will live with them forever. Look where it got Toni Collette.
ReplyDeleteGreat specimens, Carmel :)
ReplyDeleteHope you all have a great Easter, make some cool memories and it goes without saying, eat too much chocolate x
What a fun day! you have beautiful children. Hope you are having an awesome Easter (Ive had to break up 3 chocolate related kiddie brawls already and its only 7:30) Enjoy :) Megan xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a great day! Thanks for letting me come along. Your children are scrumptious. I adore the photo of them looking out of that fantastic window. Such little trend setters.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter crew!
ReplyDeletehappy easter to you and all your super troupers xx
ReplyDeleteLovely little super troupers...and with such fabulous headgear! Hope that chocolate was sufficient to tame the roadtrip rage...
ReplyDeleteThey're one funky bunch .. particularly the dude in the hat ... gotta love a kid who's not afraid to wear a groovy hat with attitude ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou have some adorable little bunnies. Happy Easter! XOL
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter! xxx
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter
ReplyDeleteHaha ... happy Easter! Your Easter eggs are adorable ... and you always make me laugh as you share your stories about them! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I love you kids!
ReplyDeleteHappy easter!!
Honey jumbles recipe has been posted. Thought you may need something to keep your team busy until school goes back. Very child friendly recipe- lots of rolling and shaping, and sprinkling of sprinkles. Mel:)
ReplyDeleteThe Grans have a wonderful view. I love all your Troupers esp Child 3 because he's not too "noivous" to talk to me!
ReplyDeleteLooks like everyone had a great time and lots of chocolate.
Re Martha's footwear: Footwear fetish is a fabulous fashion foundation. whew!
We sing lots of "Super Trouper" on The Farm. We have dance moves too...
ReplyDeleteHope you had a wonderful Easter.
We were at that park last week! We had to leave because of the three 12 year olds that were refusing to budge from the bottom of the slide - i was going to become one of 'those' mothers that told off other people's children - and i did say a 'little something' and then I walked calmly away as my blood boiled. Great park though.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you and your eggs!
yes, they are beautiful...lucky you!! thanks for sharing. enjoyed this post and look forward to seeing more of your blog.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great Easter! Just to let you know, I could sing along with you to any ABBA song. My first copy of Super Trooper was a tape that I checked out from the local library in the 80's. We used to play ABBA (& Charlie's Angels) in my neighborhood. I was always the brunette. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a Super-Duper Easter Super-Troupers!
ReplyDeleteThey are very beautiful specimens! They make my uterus scream "I want more, give me more". I think I should stick with the gut though which is saying the same thing those delicious cupcakes.
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone. They are very nice children, but every mother says that! And I know the great majority of you have your own beautiful offspring whom you adore, which makes your comments so much nicer. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a view! And really lovely specimens. And I am actually a little bit excited about the doll's house at the moment. Very Scandinavian with the blue shelf, looking like it's been 'kurbits'-painted. And I get even more excited when I read about wallpapers. You're now talking to a wallpaper-freak. Proof will come, and I do have a problem with keeping secrets and surprising people. I get so excited about the idea of a surprise that I have to shout it out loud immediately. I AM GOING TO SEND YOU SOME WALLPAPER. Act like I never mentioned it, please.
ReplyDeleteI must also mention that I have four Fanett-chairs in the attic. Bought for nearly no money at all at a flea-market. Miracles still happen ;)
Happy belated Easter, looks like you all had so much fun!
ReplyDeleteDear Carmel,
ReplyDeletelovely super troupers!
(We're listening to ABBA every day...my twins got the CD to their b-day - and of Michael Jackson. They change the music every hour: 'Super Troupers' follows 'Thriller' aso.)
Your forbears are from England and/or Sweden?
...and Grandma's view out of the window is really breath taking!
x Ariane.
Oh so cute! I love this post, what a lovely looking bunch! Families like yours make me feel so happy... Ahhh..
ReplyDeleteAnd I also have to mention this funny - and I believe you'll find it flattering - discovery I made. Google translation says your Swedish name would be 'sockerkulör' which means 'the colour of sugar'. Well, what do you say? Sounds like the title of an Abba-song!
ReplyDeleteThere are so many gorgeous children! If I was a kid I would even enjoy a visit with granny if she had a view like that.
