Getting my own house in order

I asked Finnish K if it was she who'd dressed Martha's dolls so nicely.

She said, "Yes. Martha wanted me to do it".

She went on, "If I don't do what Martha wants, she says to me that she'll 'Tell Mum!'"

Finnish K also said that when she first arrived, she overheard Child 2 tell Child 3, "If you give Finnish K lots of kisses, she'll give us whatever we want for Christmas".

Forthwith, we are implementing an 'Anti-bullying of Finnish K programme'.

  1. I've only got three and they are all quite grown up now, but I'm still a bit scared of Finnish K.

  3. Has F.K. seen Nanny McPhee. That could be a fun night of family education. At least she had a nice Bex and a lie down in Byron and they are redirecting their bullying strategies away from you. I have yet to meet a submissive fourth child!

  4. Now, I have had the joy of meeting Finnish K.
She is a quiet person who wants to live and let live.
I'm actually appalled that this is happening to her.
Again, round them all up with Finnish K and make them each apologise to her for their unacceptable attitude.
We seem to have potential vipers ion the nest.

  5. That's priceless! It's funny how they can all band together & pick the weakest link ;-) Ok, I suppose you might want to nip some of that potential extortionist behaviour in the bud BUT isn't it wonderful how they're working as a little family unit? lol

  6. seems to be the opposite of bullying. i'd say smothering with kisses is a good strategy for just about everything!

  7. Priceless.
I have to agree with Annie, those fourth children are no easy pushover.

  8. Cracker. That Martha could give Liongirl a run for her money- did I mention that the nurse in recovery after her surgery last week gave her an " i have attitude" sticker with a picture of a feral child on it. Yet another moment of great pride for me as her mother. melx

  9. Poor Finnish K, forced to dress dolls and be kissed by children. You must stop the madness immediately!

  10. They sound like a force with which to be reckoned. You've trained them well.

  12. I like Martha. She knows what she wants. She could be the style director of my fashion company one day. No, I didn't have wine yet. I dream big without booze.
Tell finnish K I've got dolls too dress up too. They lie naked in a dresser and would love to be dressed by a girl from moominland.

  13. Oh now, your children are single handedly creating some UN sanction against Finland, i love it!! Isn't she meant to cut corner & tell them not to tell you?? What will NATO say when we report you. Love Posie

  14. Ah, Martha. She's bright. Starting with dolls and working her way up to international conspiracies. So glad I know her before she is infamous.

  15. hahaha!
that is funny! whatever we want for christmas....

ouf, and how difficult it must be as a parent when you see or hear those bullying stories you mentioned below. indeed, how to react, and how to support and how to teach your children something else? while dealing with your mother heart breaking into little pieces.
good luck with it! i am sure you will find your way...
