Here's my tablecloth smock.
The fabric reminds me of the sort of fabric you'd find in the children's section of the Broadbeach library circa 1970s. Further, the tulips are reminiscent of Miffy!
Don't worry Three Readers, I have some more of this fabric which I'll put towards a dress for Child 4 when she's a bit older. Thank goodness she is a girl.
But the Furry Godmother (Noodle's friend) gifted her a very sweet smocked dress today all the way from Honkers ... about which I've gone bonkers!
My necklace was only $30. I stumbled across it recently in a shop in Paddington. It's a Scandinavian-type bird. I like it, as does Child 4 who likes to suck on it. She leaves cute little tooth marks on it, which I think add to its attraction.
I think soon, we should peruse some vintage crockery ... I know you're itching to!
I have the same bird in red also beloved by the 4 fanged 5th in our family. Also identify with the Communion debacle where family gatherings and emergency wards have been known to connect inevitably, floor boards are worn, library books are lost and the third child is a little challenging at the moment. I find the biggest help with laundry is the prehensile big toe used when the child on the hip won't budge or the pile in your arms is already too big. Saw a great M-C Italian blue vase at the Gap State school fete two years ago. My mate got it for $2 and I stilll kick myself every time I visit her house. So there you go!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome here anytime, Annie! You're my kinda lady.
ReplyDeleteJust shows it pays to trawl about with a poker face ... there's nothing better than a fabulous cheap MC find.
I love when it's Council foothpath pick-up time!
