Truckin'

I like this truck.

If Child 4 were a boy, I'd seriously contemplate purchasing it for her.

It is made of solid beech and 'an off-the-shelf plastic stacking box' ... For Thorsten Van Elten.

It would even look cute on its own on a wooden shelf.

Three readers, I am, unapologetically, a toy snob.

  1. I like the truck, and there is no reason she shouldn't either. Besides, when she grows up and goes to school she can use it to store stationary. And she can have it throughout her schooling life, through to university and even her workplace if she so desired. I think it is an investment in her future.

  2. Ct, I'm trying to find out whether it can be purchased here.

Stationery is spelt with an 'e', by the way! But you're a computer-type, so I'll let that slide.

When you're standing still, as in a game of Statues, or when your train's stopped, that's when you're 'stationary'.

PS Don't pick on any of my spelling mistakes, because I'll become irate.

  3. I was writing an assignment on change management, and I was finding it very difficult. You see, my analysis of the stable, but not stationery(!) aspects of an organisation kept tipping into discussion of the benefit of ballpoint versus fountain pens and what is an ideal paper caliper...and I couldn't work out for the life of me why.

But now I think I may have an idea.

  5. You can purchase them online ... but the price is in pounds, so I'm guessing they're in England. Sometimes these foreign sites won't post to Australia - but there was nothing on the site to indicate this. I'll keep you posted. The website is www.thorstenvanelten.com. It has some other cool stuff, so check it out.
