Thank you everyone who sent me emails and made comments recently.
I've deleted some of the blog because I want this to be a pleasant place to visit.
People said some very helpful things to me and I was surprised by the emails I received. It all made me realise this blog is worth maintaining.
Through this portal, I've made incredibly valuable friendships with extremely wise women. I would really evince my idiocy if I let that go.
What's the opposite of 'Fin'?
Hear, hear!! Welcome back, xx Katherine
ReplyDeleteAmen sister!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that you are back. So inspirational.
ReplyDeletePam x
Yay!!
ReplyDeleteIf you looked in a mirror the opposite would be "nif". Does that mean something? Maybe nif = yippee!!
Oh dear, losing my mind...
Right!
ReplyDeleteYippee! Welcome back.
ReplyDeleteHooray! Commencez!
ReplyDeleteI feel like I should leap up and put the Hallelujah Chorus on the CD player after reading that.
ReplyDeleteYay! I have a reason for living.
ReplyDeleteHUGS!
Yippee another bat in the belfry

Ariane.
I have the theme song of Welcome Back, Kotter playing in my head...Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back...xx
ReplyDeletePhew!! Life's not been the same without the wacky & fab adventures of MMMC! xx
ReplyDeletei love to visit here for a good old chuckle , occassionally a lol, perhaps a guffaw or two , and sometimes i make anyone passing by my laptop know exactly what i am laughing about, thereby spreading the merriment...
ReplyDeleteglad to see you back!
Yay! Glad you're still here
ReplyDeleteGood on you! It's important to be steering your own bus and choosing the direction it takes. (You're not facing exam week and just looking for a distraction from your studies, are you?)
ReplyDeleteYay! And I like Nif! Heh!
ReplyDeleteIt is definitely a pleasant place, I always smile when I see there is a new post from you in my reader. Welcome back :)
ReplyDeleteWell, now I am excited!
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Encore! Woo hoo ☺. You've made my day, Carmel. Just delightful. Good for you for retaking control of your tiller in Blogland. So, where are we headed next, Skipper? J x
ReplyDeleteYay!!!!!! We love you, Carmel.
ReplyDeleteGood woman.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness I was a little sceptical about that Horsey chap being given a free reign.
ReplyDeleteDoes Horsey still get his own blog?? I want it all!! So glad my friend is back. You're a firecracker Carmel.
ReplyDeleteCommence!
ReplyDeleteI want to apologise for not being one of those who emailed or commented. I tried ... and couldn't find the right words. I tried ... and ended up refereeing sibling disputes, washing piles of denim, feeding the hordes, ploughing fields, photographing cows...
ReplyDeleteI have all the excuses.
I am sorry that you were made to feel less than lovely, by the comments of someone else. That isn't what blogging is about, and I am so pleased that you will be continuing your intelligent, thoughtful and hilarious blog.
You are amazing ... and I want to hug that baby girl of yours.
Thank god! I was suffering withdrawals.
ReplyDeleteSo so pleased you came to your senses. Just try hard to blog while assuming that none of your family are reading. I just block them all out and write for all the supportive strangers who get why I like op shopping instead. melx
ReplyDeletejehhhaaaaaaa!
ReplyDeleteyou are back!
i am more than happy...
♥
I'm so pleased to read this! I'm only a relatively new blogger and your last post really made me think a lot about why and what I write... Your blog really is a pleasant place to visit :)
ReplyDeleteAlleluia!
ReplyDeleteYay! Nif! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to see you and your blog ... :)
ReplyDeleteDid I miss something? I've been mooching around and not blogging much. As I read all these comments I get the impression someone has been less than kind in one of their comments to you. Too many good people to worry about the crappy ones. Hope you are well and staying warm. Glad you decided to stay because you're my staple in blogland.
ReplyDeleteI missed this. I thought this time was for good. You are totally crazy, you know that?
ReplyDelete...but I love you.
I'd given up.
ReplyDeleteBut here you all are , having out-ridden the storm clouds that lurk .
All with trusty umbrellas, no doubt.
And galoshes.
Isn't that a lovely word???? Gosh! galoshes!
My mother had galoshes which she put over her shoes during monsoon months when Brisbane hadn't even heard of Vagas, and flooded every year. But no one noticed because no one lived there then.
Did I ever tell you about the icebox we all had before refrigerators hit the colonies???
And the iceman did cometh each day, with a horse and cart.
Milkman had horse and cart as well. He'd come in and fill our tin milk container where you could see the flakes of cow poo floating on the top.
Built up the immune system I'd say.
Am I rambling????
Good-o I had a mini panic attack when I saw you were closing could only get your blog up via my dashbord thingy...please stay you are such a good writer so funny ...hoooo ray for mid- century madness. Take care
