Thank you.

Thank you everyone who sent me emails and made comments recently.

I've deleted some of the blog because I want this to be a pleasant place to visit.

People said some very helpful things to me and I was surprised by the emails I received. It all made me realise this blog is worth maintaining.

Through this portal, I've made incredibly valuable friendships with extremely wise women.  I would really evince my idiocy if I let that go.

What's the opposite of 'Fin'?

  3. Yay!!
If you looked in a mirror the opposite would be "nif". Does that mean something? Maybe nif = yippee!!
    Oh dear, losing my mind...

  14. Good on you! It's important to be steering your own bus and choosing the direction it takes. (You're not facing exam week and just looking for a distraction from your studies, are you?)

  18. Thank goodness I was a little sceptical about that Horsey chap being given a free reign.

  20. I want to apologise for not being one of those who emailed or commented. I tried ... and couldn't find the right words. I tried ... and ended up refereeing sibling disputes, washing piles of denim, feeding the hordes, ploughing fields, photographing cows...
    I have all the excuses.
I am sorry that you were made to feel less than lovely, by the comments of someone else. That isn't what blogging is about, and I am so pleased that you will be continuing your intelligent, thoughtful and hilarious blog.
You are amazing ... and I want to hug that baby girl of yours.

  21. Thank god! I was suffering withdrawals.

  22. So so pleased you came to your senses. Just try hard to blog while assuming that none of your family are reading. I just block them all out and write for all the supportive strangers who get why I like op shopping instead. melx

  26. Did I miss something? I've been mooching around and not blogging much. As I read all these comments I get the impression someone has been less than kind in one of their comments to you. Too many good people to worry about the crappy ones. Hope you are well and staying warm. Glad you decided to stay because you're my staple in blogland.

  27. I missed this. I thought this time was for good. You are totally crazy, you know that?
    ...but I love you.

  28. I'd given up.
But here you all are , having out-ridden the storm clouds that lurk .
All with trusty umbrellas, no doubt.
    And galoshes.
Isn't that a lovely word???? Gosh! galoshes!
My mother had galoshes which she put over her shoes during monsoon months when Brisbane hadn't even heard of Vagas, and flooded every year. But no one noticed because no one lived there then.
Did I ever tell you about the icebox we all had before refrigerators hit the colonies???
And the iceman did cometh each day, with a horse and cart.
Milkman had horse and cart as well. He'd come in and fill our tin milk container where you could see the flakes of cow poo floating on the top.
Built up the immune system I'd say.
    Am I rambling????
