Biding my time

When I'm not packing, I'm sending my CV out to law firms.

I'm also doing what High Achievers do: Applying Positive Affirmations.

Here's how my ULTIMATE interview (after two minutes) ends :

"We see you're wearing Converse; you haven't had time, or couldn't be bothered, to brush your hair; and that one-of-any-number of Primary Schoolers has let his or her felt-pen run in your handbag. At least you're not drunk. You'll fit-in well here. You're hired. High Fives, Partner!"

This is one of my favourite songs.

  1. You are awesome. Anyone who can obtain a law degree whilst taking care of a small army of children deserves a medal...and a job. A good one.

p.s. you don't really wear Con's to interviews do you?

  3. I know you'll find the perfect job. Maybe let Horsey and Eustace sit on your shoulder at the next interview? :)

    1. Dana,
I'm not sure what sort of job I'd get if I took H&E to the interview. I will put them on my desk if I ever get one!

  4. I couldn't watch the video for some reason....I hate interviews....once I was after a manager position and My shoes were in need of a polish badly so what were my choices since I didn't have any I sprayed Pam cooking spray on the fronts and it soaked in badly....I got the job only because it was an unobservant man no woman in her right mind would have given me a store to run looking the way I did!!! Now I know why you can change your hair and it may take a few days for the men to notice.....hows the move going? and how much longer do you have to pack?

  9. Why limit yourself to only one or two drinks before the interview? After all, you might need more than just a shot of courage before you put on your cons and go into the interview room...

  10. Ha! Wouldn't it be funny if you had H and E peeping from your bag and the interviewer suddenly stopped mid sentence and exclaimed, "OMG! Everybody! It's Horsey and MMMC. We simply must have them BOTH on staff immediately!"

  11. Having watched Forrest Gump last night, and listened to Busby Marou this morning, I'm feeling all teary and wistful now. (They're from Rocky, those lads).
Wishing you well with the move and the job prospects.
