On the count of 3, it's clogs on!

I love Swedish clogs.

I always have ... here are some from when I was seven-years-old ... Child 2 is modelling them for me.

I also had a patent-blue pair ... I'd wear both pairs (not at once) to Pottery Class on a Saturday morning.

These are mine now. I bought them with my sister a few years ago ... they were too expensive, but I knew if I left the shop without them, I'd regret it.

I wear them a lot, so economically it's evened-out. They're comfortable and hardly anyone in the Antipodes wears them, which is the way I like it.

The other day I saw some adult-sized patent-red clogs in a shop at Paddington. I daren't buy them because they seem so frivolous, and I have four children to feed, and Child 4 has a banana habit.

Further, if I hadn't made so many ridiculous overseas purchases lately, each of which causes the Husband to emit a silent (but audible) sigh when he reads the credit card statement ...

I'D BE BUYING THESE KIDS CLOGS FROM SWEDEN RIGHT NOW!

These white ones are a ridiculous $18USD! Buy them before I'm forced to! Here!

These strappy things are a ludicrous $17.94USD ... to be precise. I'm going mad, Readers! Same place as above!

That's it ... I don't care that Childs 2&3 are boys, and the fourth is a girl who can't walk yet ... these are mine ... unless you get there first, at a crazy $16.56USD ... here.

I need to lie-down and put my feet up. Clogs can come off now.

  4. Another Clogger here as I can get orthotic clogs. I like mules too but need to make sure there is a good back strap so I am not putting to much pressure on the wrong spots of my mangled feet.

  5. The clogs are grand. Watch #4's banana habit. Things can get out of control fast.

  6. Anon & DMC, I'm a purist, sorry. And will only wear Swedish clogs - despite the possible attraction of French designer, or locally-crafted, wooden footwear.

Jennie, hello. You'll soon regret following this blog!

ATC, glad to here the feet are adequately shod.

Deb, I'm watching the bananas - last thing I want to happen is to unintentionally perform some painful 'splits' after stepping on some dropped banana whilst wearing clogs. That'd spell the end of my fine work here.
