Champing at the bit for a pit.
How is it possible that I've lived so long not knowing the beauty that is an architecturally designed 'conversation pit'?
I've just read and seen your big post. Whoah alot to digest! I could imagine it would be easier in that pit. I'm clearly uncouth, as I thought it was a sunken lounge.
I would have a fit if I wasn't asked to knit & sit in the pit with such a wit. I promise I wouldn't be a twit... If I was, I would quit.... the pit & just buy a kit.
i imagine the pit went out of fashion after so many cocktail weilding swingers got injured by falling in! it could be filled with pillows and used as a sort of McDonalds play place for your kids! what will they think of next?!
Now that takes the art of conversation to a whole new level!
ReplyDeleteIt does, Fiona! You wit! You'd be the 'wit in the pit'.
ReplyDelete(It wasn't my intention to get started on a whole new rhyming thing.)
You would be a perfect fit for the pit.
ReplyDeleteI would love to sit in the pit and chat a bit!
ReplyDeletePam x
Who could we get to knit in the pit?
ReplyDeleteAnd in Indiana no less. I lived there for 7 years and completely missed it: aaaaargh!
ReplyDeleteMarjan
Sorry that would be parkour!
ReplyDeleteI love that Carmel. I can imagine you sitting there in your 'patio dress' with 'boofy' hair, sipping something. Now that brings a smile to my face.

Isn't that fabulous? We used to have a reading pit at my Primary School's library and I just LOVED it. It was the best place to hang out :)
