1968 Australian home. Some Ruska. Teak furniture. Native Australian gardens. Splashes of Marimekko. Rimini blue Bitossi. 50s, 60s and 70s homes. House plants and succulents. Woody Allen. The occasional appearance by some Solid Gold Dancers. That's what you'll find here. And lashings of chutzpah thrown-in for good measure. Pull up a Suekichi Uchida and make yourself at home.
The stamps are cool especially since they aren't all a normal stamp shape.
But.
That post satchel. I just am lost for words! It's all like "psst so you have a marimekko tea towel or cup well boo-yah, I've got a marimekko post satchel!"
Laura and Annie, It's not mine to frame! Can you believe it?
Finnish K's mother sent it to Finnish K! I think Finnish K, apart from telling her family she's living with barbarians, has told her family there is more Finnish products in this house than one would see in a normal Finnish home.
That is very impressive. The perks of a Finnish au pair. The post office would be staffed by moomins, marimekko wallpaper and a creche with free wifi. Oh and coffees, no need to go home ever again. melx
When I was studying law as a mature student we had a stunning, young female pale blond, Finnish student in our year. I could hardly keep my eyes off her (not to mention the male students and lecturers whose eyes were out on sticks). Needless to say she was friendly, amusing, intelligent and etc etc. Makes you sick.
wow, that's amazing. I want to live there.
ReplyDeleteplease tell me you are framing that envelope and putting it on a wall!
ReplyDeleteThose Finns. Not only are they cool and stylish, but they know they're cool and stylish and are casually show offey about it. Which is so cool.
ReplyDeleteLove it!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's my birthday on Sunday.

Well, when you put it like that;)
ReplyDeleteBut by the way have you SEEN the price of Moomin anythings in the stores? Outrageous. Why should so much cuteness be so pricey?
Gorgeous. I'm with Laura. Blow it up on a scanner, glue the original over it as an addendum and frame the loveliness!
