I'm tired and I've run out of ideas

As you can guess from the heading - I've hit a wall.

So I might just show you a whole lot of things that I like.

And then two things I don't like.

Janod Wooden Rocket

And this is what I don't like ...

Hello speeding fine. Good-bye Danish Christmas tree.

And what the hell is a bush turkey doing in the house in the early hours of the morning?

  1. How does a scrub turkey get into your house???
    This requires further explanation.

  2. I have to say, I really enjoy your posts. I always end up smiling. I love your favorite things. I & can certainly understand the things you don't like..... :)

  3. That bush turkey is arranging itself to do the only thing they do do which is to doo doo the voo doo that they do so well probably right on your head.

That bit of road is notorious for busting innocent mum's who assume it is 60km. Ironic, after the last post's location.

Hmmm. Who can get the rocket for so it is in my house? You've got to love a funky rocket!

  4. I like what you like. I don't like what you don't like. And I too, am tired. Tomorrow will be different.

  5. Oh no. That really sucks. The turkey and the speeding fine that is. If it makes you feel better, Jason got two speeding fines less than a week apart last December. Both in exactly the same spot. $400. A bush turkey in the house would've added insult to injury - I'm sure he'd have lost the plot completely!

  6. I like what you like. And those speeding fines. WHY do they have to be so much money. Wouldn't $50 teach one a lesson? It's so unfair.

  7. Estelle,
I have to open the back doors to let the old poodle out of a morning, otherwise his bladder bursts forth. I opened the doors at about 4:30am and the buzzard let herself in!

    KLT,
that's a serious compliment. You have exceptional taste! Thank you.

AA, the husband asked if it pooed anywhere. I suggested he should have a look. And the irony of the speeding ticket location was not lost on me. I failed to enlighten the traffic cop, however. He didn't seem to be the sort who would read this blog.

Zigsma and Jane, I like how you both started your comments exactly alike.

BM, the two speeding tickets does make me feel better! Sorry. And near Christmas! Ouch.

  8. Yuk...that is sooo depressing...you can keep the speeding fine and send all the other goodies my way, cheers Katherine

  9. I have been the recipient of a fine right there too!! So infuriating, and such a revenue raiser as it feels like a 60 zone to me!! rughghgh, I too then calculate the $ and what other things I would have spent it on like..
    shoes
    babysitting
coffee, ( still get that regardless)
    rosalie gourmet deli....
    x x

  10. Katherine,
I'll package it all up and you can store it in your WAC medicine cabinet!

    Margie SW,
Hello to you!! So glad to hear you're also a victim. I am currently feeling extremely guilty about it. My husband said that on the "A Current Affairs" scale of bad mothers, I could've had three unrestrained children in the boot and have been drunk as well ... so I guess I should be happy with the speeding fine!

  11. Just how does one end up with a turkey in the house? Very interesting...
Youch for the speeding fine. That's a killer. Let's not think of all the funky things that could have been acquired. SO sad :)

  12. I know just where you are talking about on that road. The last time I drove up that way (2008) I got stung too. I have a Uncle and Aunt who live on the road I was being a good relo and doing a visit since I was over from the UK. I had driven up from Beaudesert after visiting relos there. My cousins started as day scholars at the school in our last year as boarders.

  13. I am loving your liked things, maybe not so into the rocket though.

The two books I bought Mid-Century Modern and the 1950 fabric book are great. Sometimes they disappoint but not these two!

  15. Darn bush turkeys, they're just everywhere at the moment, though I must say that's the first one I've ever seen attempting to be door frame ornament.

  16. I knew I had to stop by when I ran across the title of your blog :)

  17. SarahB,
poodle constitutionals are the reason for the bush turkey. (See earlier comment.)

    Kotaatok,
when I saw the Fuzz jump out from behind the tree, I exclaimed, "Sacre Coeur!" Actually, from this day forth, I'm adopting that as my new swear word.

Jo, I didn't know which of your comments to choose, so I published both! Both are brilliant.

Aussie-waffler, I saw through its disguise too. After it scared the bejesus out of me IN THE KITCHEN!

    HHUK L,
I love a new follower! Sometimes I wonder about the worth and purpose of this stupid blog, and then comments like yours get me inspired again!

  18. BUGGER!! If you're going to speed, you'd want it to be doing 240km/h on the great open road fleeing the law, not a measly just over 60 in some unmarked residential zone, oh, pain!! Hang in there, it sucks, they have to prey on someone, we mummy drivers with a car load of children - well you will want to kill the next P plater who hoons past, where are the police then?? Love Posie

  19. Oh groan, you poor thing. Fines suck. But I am a bit intrigued by the bush turkey! And wouldn't mind that Scandinavian stitching book :)

  20. Speeding - you naughty girl! I've done a lot of stuff but never speeding (while driving a car I mean). Hahaha.

If you are sent to prison - I claim Child 4 (Debs push off, she's mine).

  21. Yes, I would welcome all the things you like, except the Staffordshire jar, maybe. Would really like the book on Scandinavian stitching, although I'm sure I know it all - it's in my blood! More than anything else, I'd like to have a bush turkey in my house at any time of the day... I could call the local paper, radio and tv too, probably. It would have been one great mystery to all!
(I don't believe that you have run out of ideas, you're just tired :)

  22. I love that there is a bush turkey wandering around in your home. I love that RC dish and the staffordshire jar!

  23. He he he -- bush turkey! Love your 'likes', how awesome is that wooden rocket?!
But a big boo to that ticket. I feel your pain and may or may not have a lot of similar pain myself ;)

  24. A fine for 4km's over - that's really unfair!! Love your image though - thanks for sharing. Especially love the staffordshire jar. Michelle
