Scary books ...
Spooky dog shampoo ...
This goose spent the day pouncing on me and gnawing on my arm ... or his baby sister's neck ...
These are the nice little tricker-treaters ...
And then there were scarier bigger boys who meant business!
First house ...
And then it got more exciting ...
These are three boys we passed from the front ...
And these are the same naughty, naughty boys from behind.
All the residents were very friendly and generous ...
Look how those trees parted, supernaturally, for the power lines.
Dinner.
What a great time everyone had. I like the naughty boys, and from behind.
ReplyDeleteWe had our first ever Halloween experience, and I must admit to being a little dubious. However, we went to a neighbours house we'd never been to previously, met many new kids and neighbours in actual person, and all due to Halloween?! Kids have candy (okay that word is still too American for me - lollies) too rot the mouth of a donkey. x
I like the goose. Nice fang! Funny dog shampoo.
Those cheeky boys!
ReplyDelete5 bags of kitkats, a stupid mask, a pumpkin at the front door and not a single freakin' trick or treater! What is wrong with the youth of today? Where is their American spirit. I blame too much Australian content on television.
ReplyDeleteThose bums are hilarious! So much more stylish than the Booby BBQ aprons I've seen hanging out the front of giftware stores.
ReplyDeleteR&S,
ReplyDeleteour first Halloween experience too! We went to a different suburb ... all very organised. There were kids everywhere!
Brismod,
I hope Jason doesn't catch on!
Estelle,
Our 'home base' went through 50 mini-chocolate bars and then some! And I ate my fair share of sausages in bread.
This all looks very friendly and fun! My poor husband took Edmund for a walk in the wood around midnight, and couldn't stop thinking about the wolves... that's halloween for you! (And yes, they are not only in his imagination, the wolves :) Btx, Martha looks very brave!
ReplyDeleteWe just got home from our second Halloween. I have just scrubbed the faces of my little ghouls and witch and sent them off to bed spasming and twitching from the sugar. It may be a bit silly having a Harvest festival in Spring etc- but, by jingo, it was fun to dress daftly, hang with the neighbourhood and party on at the neighbours' with excellent coffin shaped brownies, meringue bones and a lot of very happy kids.
ReplyDeleteBernice,
ReplyDeletejump on the bare-bum shorts bandwagon and start sewing some, sista!
Lilli,
wolves!! Is your husband crazy?! Having wolves close by would keep me inside under the doona from sundown to sun-up! (Martha was a bit scared of some of the big boys. I was a bit scared of some of the big boys.)
The big boys do look a bit scary...from either vantage point. Hope you managed to keep some of that loot for yourself!
ReplyDeleteBig boys dressed up are scary. We just had the one and only visitor and he was a scary 13 year old.
ReplyDeleteLove the naughty behinds though!
AA,
ReplyDeleteyou are a seasoned Halloweener because you're lot were in makeup! I didn't even think of makeup. Coffin-shaped brownies sound good!
Wendy, I may go and look in the fridge now.
Deb, poor solo 13-yr-old. I hope you gave him everything you had!
Love it! Looks like they had a blast. Similar shenanigans went down in our hood -- the kids LOVED it.
ReplyDeleteSo fun ! A big happy halloween !
